Week 4 Injury Report : Xavien Howard limited

The week 4 injury report for the upcoming Dolphins home game against the Steelers is out, and it doesn’t make particularly good reading for either team. The Dolphins continue to be without Byron Jones, who has not played, or practiced even, since injuring his groin on the third play against Buffalo in week 2.

Jones is almost certain to miss the game against Seattle a game that will offer a considerable challenge to the Dolphins secondary.

In potentially worse news, Xavien Howard was limited in practice with an injury to his surgically repaired knee. Howard was seen to grab his knee after pulling in an interception of Gardner Minshew in last Thursdays win. However, the injury was reported over the weekend as cramps.

Howard did take part in all team drills that were open to reporters so this move is likely just an over abundance of caution for Miami’s best defender.

Safety Clayton Fejedelem has been cleared for contact which is a good sign that he is recovering well, but his participation was still limited.

Rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa missed practice with an illness, but it is NOT, repeat NOT related to COVID-19.

For their part, the Seattle Seahawks have 18 players who either did not participate or who were limited. Three of those did, however, only receive “resting veteran” designations so should be good to go come Sunday.
