Tua, Hill shine in Dolphins exciting week 1 win

In a rematch of one of the Dolphins most disappointing games of 2022 the Dolphins exploded on offense to secure a 36-34 win in Los Angeles against the Chargers.

Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill connected for 215-yards and 2 scores as the Dolphins offensive was practically unstoppable for the Chargers. Miami scored on 7 of their 10 possessions with 5 touchdowns and 2 field goals. Their 3 possessions that didn’t end in a score were two turnovers and the kneel-downs at the end of the game.

The Chargers didn’t go down without a fight though, running through holes in the Dolphins defence to the tune of 233 yards at 5.8 a clip. It was the only sour point of the game however, as the offence showed form that if sustained over a season would definitely put the Dolphins in the Super Bowl discussion.

Tua showed just what he is capable of finishing with figures of 28/45 – 466 yards – 3 td and 1 int.

After the game Head Coach Mike McDaniel said of Tua’s stunning performance “It was validating for me, because I don’t feel crazy. That’s kind of what I expected to happen,”

DOLPHINS DEFENCE TURNS UP JUST IN TIME

It could’ve all ended badly if the Dolphins defence had turned up for the last drive. With the Chargers getting the ball on their own 25 with 1:45 remaining. The Dolphins got two of their three sacks in the next five plays to get the ball back and secure a stunning week 1 win.
