Dolphins third-year WR Jaylen Waddle is expected to miss the pivotal week 17 showdown with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday with a high-ankle sprain suffered in Sunday’s win over the Cowboys.
Last week Jaylen Waddle became the first Dolphins WR ever to have three consecutive 1,000 receiving seasons and combined with Hill is worth 51.4% of all targets this season.
JAYLEN WADDLE IS A BIG LOSS
“We try to make sure that we always are moving guys around and getting guys work with things so we all can be connected for the time that we’re going to have to show up and do what’s required for Sunday,” Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith said. “So again, we have contingencies to work through so we can make sure that we’re putting our guys in the best position possible.”

As much as the Dolphins may have other plans the loss of Jaylen Waddle would be huge. Outside of Waddle and Hill no Dolphins receiver has over 300 yards, and only three have more than 200 yards. The Dolphins offense goes through Waddle and Hill, and without Waddle on the field you can bet the Ravens will double Hill.
The Dolphins clinched their playoff spot with last weeks win, marking back-to-back playoff appearances, and could clinch their first AFC East crown since 2008 with a win over Baltimore. With a loss the Dolphins could still clinch the AFC East with a win, or tie, against the Bills at the Rock on the NFL’s final weekend.
