Dolphins thrash Commanders, ease to 9-3

For the first time since 2001 the Miami Dolphins are 9-3 after a comprehensive, and easy, victory over the Washington Commanders 45-15.

The Dolphins rushed out to an early 17-point lead, including Hill’s 78-yard TD, Miami’s longest of the season on just their third play of the game. From that point on the game was never a contest its Washington no match for either the Dolphins offensive or defensive units.

DOLPHINS ON TRACK FOR AFC’S TOP SEED

Tyreek Hill continue his push for the NFL MVP award, and his quest for a 2,000 yard season nothing another 157 yards and 2 scores. “I believe I am having my best season,” Hill said. “Even if I didn’t have the numbers, I feel like I’m doing a good job being in the right spot for the quarterback, I’m doing a great job blocking and just understanding this whole offense.”

“Everyone is locked in,” said Tua Tagovailoa. “Everyone knows that we can do something special this year, and no one on our team is trying to waste that opportunity.” The Dolphins have two easy games upcoming before finishing with their toughest three-game stretch of the season.

For their part the Commanders will be disappointed with how many times they left Hill one-on-one with no safety over the top. It was a high price and the Dolphins racked up multiple big plays. “We can’t do the things we did and expect to win,” Commanders HC Ron Rivera said. “We didn’t really give ourselves a chance.”
