Dolphins extend Adam Shaheen with 2-year deal

With two touchdowns in his last two games TE Adam Shaheen he now has a new two year deal with the Dolphins. The former Bears TE was acquired in a trade this offseason and despite only making 5 catches on 7 targets, has proven himself to be a valuable weapon.

Originally selected with the 45th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Shaheen has a career high 3 touchdowns in his rookie season. That record is now in jeopardy as the Dolphins look to enhance their offense under rookie signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa over the remaining 10 games.

Adam Shaheen’s new deal is a 2-year deal worth up to $7.85 million with $3.2 million guaranteed. Through 6 games Shaheen has 5 catches for 58 yards and 2 touchdowns, with 44 of those yards coming after the catch.

Dolphins extend Adam Shaheen

As the Dolphins extend Adam Shaheen’s deal they have one of the NFL’s most dynamic Tight End rooms locked down with Mike Gesicki also on pace for a career year. With both players representing dynamic play making ability, and yards after catch, expect them to become fast favourites with Tua.
