Dolphins collapse again, lose to Bills 21-14

The Miami Dolphins are headed to Kansas City for the wildcard game after they lost at home to the Bills 21-14 to hand the AFC East crown, once again, to Buffalo.

After such a promising start to the season the Dolphins have swooned late in the season for the second straight year under head coach Mike McDaniel. And once again the Dolphins couldn’t beat a winning team.

Much vaunted Dolphins offence fails to show up

“We’re going to have to come in tomorrow, we’re going to have to watch the film, see things we can get corrected and then move on,” quarterback Tua Tagovailoa said. “It’s a short week. We know that and it’s going to be a tough road game for us.”

Once again the Dolphins defence, despite being down a number of key starters was the team’s best unit as the offence managed only 16 total first downs to Buffalo’s 26.

“It’s a team game,” Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey said. “If the other side is struggling, we have to do even more to help them get in position to make plays. We have to find a way to play complementary ball.”

It’s a bitter pill to swallow for the Dolphins who have fallen from potential number one seeds, to the sixth-seed and on their way to what is expected to be a very cold Kansas City and they have only themselves to blame.
