Miami will try to stop the losing streak Sunday against another team with the same goal, the Houston Texans. Both teams are 1-7 and both have lost 7 consecutive games after winning their first game of the season.

Both teams have been surrounded with controversy surrounding Texans’ quarterback Deshaun Watson, whom hasn’t played a game this season. Many Dolphins fans have lost faith in management after the 7th loss of the season this past Sunday. Tua Tagovailoa supporters seem to no longer support Dolphins general manager, Chris Grier after he publicly said he was happy with Tua after stating he looked into making a deal for Watson almost in the same breath.

Tagovailoa, who avoids media, said in a press conference, after being asked about the Dolphins sitting down with the Texans and attempting to make a deal for Watson, that it was the first time he had heard about it. He had admitted in an earlier press conference during the season, that he knew about the Watson rumors. However, the fact that the Dolphins actually sat down to discuss a deal to get Watson prior to the trade deadline, was the first time he heard about it after a reporter questioned him.

Whether the fact the trade deadline has already passed or that he just found out the Dolphins tried to make a deal for Watson will affect his playing ability or not is yet to be seen.

Houston Texans quarterback, Tyrod Taylor will be coming back off of a hamstring injury to start against on Sunday.

Traditionally, outside noise has had a direct affect on team play on the field and it is apparent that has been the case with both the Texans and the Dolphins.

For the strengths and weaknesses for the Dolphins and Texans hasn’t been a good narrative for either the entire year. Normally, Miami will have home field advantage, but with the current losing streak, the stadium is expected to have several empty seats against another last place divisional team.

Both teams are desperate for a win. If the Dolphins lose at home to the Texans, then the season will only get longer.

Game day is this Sunday.
