After trading up in the 2nd round with the New York Giants, the dolphins draft Notre Dame OT Liam Eichenberg to continue strengthening the offensive wall in front of Tua Tagovailoa. A three-year starter for the Fighting Irish Eichenberg allowed only 3 sacks and none since 2018.
Over his 2,663 offensive snaps Eichenberg allowed only 50 total pressures, earning a 98.1% efficiency rating. PFF graded him 90.1 for his run blocking, and 83.8 for his senior year. Eichenberg is a perfect candidate to start at RT for the Dolphins in 2021, with Hunt moving inside to RG and Solomon Kindley moving to LG replacing Flowers.
